A prospect of Windsor Castle from the South A prospect of Windsor Castle from the South. Attributed to Jan Vorstermans (1643-1699?). Described by John Evelyn as “an extraordinary curious and neat landscape painter in little, in which he may very justly be said to have exceeded all the painters of his time”. This picture can be compared to a similar pair of views of Windsor Castle datable 1678-1680, of the same size and by the same artist in the Royal Collection.
