Welcome to the Alistair Sampson Antiques website where you will find a comprehensive selection of our large and varied stock. Following Alistair’s death in January 2006 the business continues and will be run by Christopher Banks who takes over as managing director. Christopher has worked with Alistair since 1982 and he is proud to continue the business established by Alistair.

We specialise in 17th and 18th century English antiques with the emphasis on fine country furniture, English delftware, English pottery, metalware, treen, decorative and unusual items as well as fine English needlework and naïve paintings. We have been established over 30 years and count among our customers private collectors, museums, galleries and interior decorators.

We exhibit in London in June15-21 2006 at the Grosvenor House Art and Antiques Fair In August 4-7 2006 we will be exhibiting at the Nantucket Historical Association Antiques Show. In October 19-26 2006 we will be at the International Fine Art and Antiques Fair. In November 10-12 2006 we will be at the Delaware Antiques Fair.


Alistair Sampson, barrister, antiques dealer and humorist, was born on May 1, 1929. He died of cancer on January 13, 2006, aged 76. Click here for the Times obituary
